Lead Business Analyst

About the role

LV=GI is looking for a Lead Business Analyst to work in its Croydon office. Working alongside the Business Analysis Practice Manager, you will help manage the Croydon analyst team and work with business and technical stakeholders to ensure everyone pulls together to achieve the LV= vision to be ‘Best Loved’.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, self-assured individual who can credibly demonstrate their business analyst and people management background to come and take on a high profile role in a fast paced and exciting environment where the analyst team is continuing to expand (currently 12 in Croydon and over 30 in total).

About you

You’re looking for a role where you can work collaboratively but with a high degree of autonomy too – supported by others in your team but trusted to do your job well and be given the flexibility to manage your time to get the job done. 

As an analyst, you’ll have a wide range of industry experience; you will have a proven track record of taking strategic vision and shaping it up in readiness for teams to take through to realisation.  You’ll be naturally curious, insightful and get to the bottom of problems that your teams and stakeholders haven’t even thought of yet! 

You’re a Lead Business Analyst with significant experience in leading teams and managing people. A fair proportion of your time will be devoted to team management and developing others; experience in coaching to help others succeed and reach their full potential will therefore be essential, as well as handling difficult performance management situations where necessary.

Your ability to communicate and collaborate with others across business and change communities will be one of the most important skillsets you have for this position; you’ll be proactive and willing to lead from the front to champion new things, even in uncertain situations, finding innovative ways forward when others struggle to do so. You’ll be able to come up with ideas and solutions, implement these and take your team with you as you do so. You’ll be flexible to innovate and adapt as you go, never settling for the status quo.

Any previous agile experience would be a benefit – an open, proactive approach and collaborative mind-set is what we need from you to understand the best way to drive each change initiative forward. You’ll have one eye on quality at all times, looking to continuously improve BA artefacts, techniques and approaches as well as being able to positively promote the role of the BA and the BA Practice within LV= and beyond.

You’ll be based in Croydon and will be happy reaching out to our stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, including our Exec Team, as well as travelling from time to time to remain connected to your colleagues in our other offices too.  You will have faith in your judgement to know when it is appropriate to take some time away to focus on your work, but will always want to be in touch with your colleagues and keep your finger on the pulse to help create and foster a positive working environment where you and your team can thrive.
