Learning & Development Manager

The role:

Working very closely with the University of Birmingham and pulling together as a close team, we developed a high-quality antibody test in record time.
The Binding Site is built on strong scientific foundations with extensive expertise in antibody specificity technology. We are committed to improve patient lives worldwide through education, collaboration and innovation. Our teams provide clinics and laboratories the tools to significantly improve diagnosis and management of patients across a range of cancers and immune system disorders. 

We a have fantastic new opportunity for a L&D Manager to lead & manage the day to day function of the Learning & Development Team, adding value through the Company by managing the end-to-end L&D processes, design and delivery.   The successful candidate will be involved in:

  • Leading and developing the L&D Team

  • Developing a coherent, innovative and engaging L&D curriculum for the business

  • Carrying out full training needs analysis across the business, drawing up an annual plan that contributes to the wider talent strategy for the business and is in line with workforce planning requirements

  • Project Managing key L&D initiatives, in particular the learning site e-learning platform

  • Driving the business objectives by working with key stakeholders to identify training & Development needs and trends within the business

  • Proactively seeking new ways to manage training delivery, tracking, and performance against learning metrics and business KPIs.

  • Designing and developing internal assessment and development programmes that contribute to the talent strategy.

  • Designing, both in-house and with expert third parties, a solution which includes a blended approach to learning

  • Delivering these blended solutions and training sessions to delegates

  • Management of the training budget, reporting back on return on investment and value addReview effectiveness and relevance of training and ensure continuous improvement.

  • A relevant Degree, CIPD or CTP qualified (or equivalent)Experience and capability to drive the L&D strategy and agenda

  • People Management experience

  • Experience of designing and delivering a variety of training solutions

  • Project management expeirenceExcellent communcation skills (both written and verbal)

  • To be flexible to the needs of the business
