This is an exciting opportunity for an independent individual looking for experience in a unique role in the Centre for Academic Language and Development. The role is being offered as a 0.6 FTE job share alongside the Centre’s current Learning Technologist.
The Learning Technologist post identifies and leads on enhancements in the way the Centre delivers teaching and other learning resources to thousands of undergraduate and postgraduate students across the institution. On a day-to-day basis, the Learning Technologist works alongside teachers and professional services staff associated with the Centre in their development and delivery of teaching and embedded learning technologies, providing support, expert guidance and training for a range of tools, pedagogic practices and digital capabilities.
The role holder will need to investigate, promote, and disseminate effective digital education approaches and help to inspire and foster innovation, working in collaboration with the University's Digital Education Office and TEL community.
The role holder must have excellent prioritisation and task management skills as they will be involved in multiple projects across a variety of programmes. They will also be confident in communicating effectively with staff and students from across the world with varying levels of technical knowledge.
CALD is a dynamic Centre which is experiencing rapid growth in student numbers and teaching provision and an integral part of the university's internationalisation strategy.
