Launched in 2018, the Reignite Academy provides opportunities for experienced lawyers to return to the profession after a career hiatus, through a six month paid programme of training and work experience. The three Founders are passionate about creating on-ramps for legal professionals looking to reclaim their career and to renew their professional ambitions. The programme of support in place for lawyers includes coaching and training and a package of support designed to get them back up to speed as soon as possible, with placements at leading law firms for 6 months. Whilst no garuantee of permanent positions, it is the goal of the Academy that the opportunities will convert into permanent roles. 

Following the first pilot, of which ten amazing women have returned to their city careers, we are now moving forward with further programmes. In addition we are working with legal firms to source for live vacancies from this highly skilled, yet often over-looked, talent pool.

We need someone to join our team!  Are you an ex-legal recruiter on a career break? Looking for a new project? Something you can sink your teeth into and be passionate about?

We’d love to find someone to work with the Academy on a part-time, work from home basis. Although some meetings in London will also happen, so we do need someone who can get to London perhaps once a week. Initially we imagine the successful person would either work on an associate basis (whereby you would invoice us for work completed) or come on board with a fix term contract on a part-time basis. We are open to discussion of what suits best. 

Principle duties will include:

  • conducting first round interviews with applications for the Reignite Academy programmes and writing in-depth interview notes
  • offering support and advice to candidates on CV preparation and interview techniques
  • acknowledging unsuccessful candidates / those who are not right and providing useful links for their job search
  • maintaining contact with our candidate database
  • working some Live vacancy positions for our clients

We very much want to practice what we preach and would love to offer this opportunity to someone with a legal recruitment background who is on a career break, or working below their potential in a non-related role, who is seeking to return to a role they love.
