Account Manager – Part-Time, Job-Share, Full-Time

As an Account Manager in the Customer & Distribution team in CI, we need you to build and foster long term, profitable relationships with our customers. (You’ll have your own individual portfolio of customers.) This will include some of our largest Relationship customers; some are well established with Zurich whilst others will need developing but key to all of them, will be your ability to enhance & embed strong relationships with them and our brokers. 
This role isn’t all about sales,but is about identifying opportunities and knowing what will benefit your customers by offering the best solutions available. Our Account Manager roles are market facing, so you’ll be the “go to” individual for your portfolio of customers & brokers. 

Because we want the best people for our roles, this is available part-time, job-share or full time. We recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. If you need to talk to us about flexibility, or what will work for you, just mention it at interview. 

Key Responsibilities: What you’ll be doing (and not a bullet point in sight!)  

We provide strategic services so it’s really important that you can join the dots and see the bigger picture. In this way, we can really develop a deep understanding of our Customer & Broker needs & build & maintain strong working relationships to embed both with Zurich.

As an integral part of the Customer team, you’ll lead individuals from across CI UK & across the wider Zurich global network, all with the aim of successful & efficient delivery of our International programs around the globe for our customers. 

It’s a big role but we can show you the ropes! You’ll get plenty of support as your success & development is equally important -actually, that’s why this role is available, promotion into a new role by our last Account Manager!

We’ve talked about our customer obsession - as an Account Manager we need you to establish & lead structure around expectations, timelines & delivery dates. You’ll be able to readily spot and support new business/Cross sell opportunities to promote our proposition & help bring this to life for new/existing customers. 

You’ll be collaborating with Deal Management & Underwriting to design insurance programs & our service proposition in conjunction with customer, broker & any internal Zurich partners. That’s a wide range of people, so no two days will ever be the same and you’ll definitely be showcasing your suite of communication & project management skills. 

What are we looking for?

What you’ll have picked up is the need to be creative, analytical & solution-based when you’re thinking about meeting customer needs. 

You’ll be a natural when it comes to planning and prioritising and will naturally want to lead and implement change. We need you to be a great listener, after all the best relationships develop when someone feels heard! 

The role does have some technical aspects to it, so it would be great if you have some customer/broker experience. 

Knowledge of Zurich’s International (IPZ) proposition, our service capabilities & principles of MIA, are important elements of the role but we can help you get to grips with this, as long as you can show us your learning agility. We work in a fast paced, agile environment, so this is pretty key. 

Knowing what Zurich’s Underwriting capabilities are, would also be good as it will help you to develop your knowledge of practices, tools & techniques to attract, retain & service customers.

The Reward

We are offering up a salary between £47,000 - £60,000, dependant on experience for the right person. Plus we offer a competitive benefits package which includes:-
