The role 

We are looking to recruit a proactive and enthusiastic Manager to our Research Student team.  This busy, deadline-driven role will manage our Doctoral Training Partnership relationships and manage postgraduate research student administration within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. 

Highlights of the role include:

  • Managing the relationship with our Doctoral Training Partners

  • Line management of the administrative team providing research student support within the faculty

  • Planning and co-ordinating student related administration from recruitment to completion

Skills and experience 

The role requires high level of communication skills and the ability to absorb and interpret complex information to draw conclusions and/or make recommendations.  It requires attention to detail, with the ability to plan and manage people and complex activities.  It requires an ability to interpret, advise on, and adhere to policy and procedures, as well as the skills to influence those over whom there is no formal authority to take particular courses of action.
