Summary and Purpose

The Marketing Executive will assist the Head of Engagement with all aspects of marketing for the Whitespace Platform. With the Platform now being 2 years old and having seen significant growth, marketing efforts require more dedicated focus as we cement our place in the London insurance market and move into European and North American markets. This is a part time role, approximately 3 days per week, and we can be flexible around the days and hours worked.


Main Duties

The Head of Engagement has overall responsibility for marketing at Whitespace. The role of the Marketing Executive will be to support and assist in the following areas:

• The creation of a suite of marketing materials for the Whitespace Platform

• All external communication about Whitespace

• Planning and execution of communication to platform users about platform releases

• Working with our PR firm on interviews, press releases, thought leadership pieces, LinkedIn posts

• Working closely with the marketing team at Sequel to ensure that all marketing efforts are coordinated and in line with Sequel and Verisk brand guidelines

• The setting up and running of customer events both virtually and in person, when possible

• Other tasks as assigned from time to time


Other Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Platform Officer with preparation for events and interviews


Compliance & Training

• Adhere to all company & regulatory policies and procedures as instructed

• Carry out all training provided to deadlines prescribed August 2021

• Work with compliance on IT relevant areas such as Data Security and Financial Crime

• Execute the responsibilities of a company employee acting in a lawful and ethical manner in accordance with your contract of employment and company staff handbook

• Work with department manager for own professional development, including performance appraisal and identifying and meeting training needs in order to ensure competence and compliance with current regulations


Experience Required

• Proven history of previous marketing roles

• Previous experience of writing external communications


Education / Training / Qualifications required

• Degree desirable but not essential


Knowledge / Skills / Attributes required

• Excellent written and spoken English

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to multi-task in a busy organisation

• Should be able to work alone and as part of the wider team

• Excellent PowerPoint skills

• Insurance market knowledge

• Pixelmator Pro or equivalent
