Job Summary

The Marketing Manager will work within our group-wide marketing team, working specifically on the Brompton Technology brand. The successful candidate will work closely with our Group Marketing Manager and Brompton product management teams. They will come to understand specific products and business strategies, and develop an appropriate marketing strategy and campaigns within the wider context of our overall brand strategy. They will report to the Group Marketing Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Group Marketing Manager to plan and implement Brompton's marketing strategy and establish goals

  • Take the lead on marketing campaigns and promotions, at all times building product and brand awareness

  • Develop and execute a communications plan across all available channels ( newsletters, blogs, video, social media, PR, print advertising) working closely with the Marketing Co-ordinator and Content Editor

  •  Manage Brompton's PR agency working with them to identify media opportunities and facilitate conversations with partners

  • Work together with the Creative Manager to develop creative briefs and guide direction for all advertising and public facing comms, including print, video and digital assets

  • Work with product management to prepare necessary marketing material to support new product launches, tradeshows and events, ensuring good quality control at all times

  • Ensure the sales teams across all regions have the marketing materials they require to communicate confidently with customers

  • Manage the development of marketing material to support the brand strategy

  • Contribute to planning, design and delivery of tradeshow stands or events, together with other members of the Marketing team 

  • Manage the ongoing development of the Brompton website and work with our SEO agency to ensure the site is optimised at all times

  • Build and nurture key partner relationships and gather publicity materials from customers such as project photos, testimonials and requisite permissions

  • Liaise with relevant publishing houses to negotiate paid-for campaigns

  • Work with the Marketing Co-ordinator to set goals and track progress for campaigns; analyse Google Analytics for web traffic and campaign insights to inform on strategies used and optimise accordingly, and provide reports to the Group Marketing Manager and Executive Teams

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience

  • Previous marketing experience either in-house or agency developing plans and campaigns (at least 2 years)

  • Extremely strong communication skills in both verbal and written English

  • Demonstrable experience writing and proofing marketing materials 

  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills

  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools

  • Proficiency with social media strategy

  • At least basic experience using desktop publishing and graphic design tools, sufficient to modify and complete documents based on existing templates

  • An eye for detail and an understanding of design

  • Highly competent with MS Office, particularly Powerpoint and Word 

Desirable Extras 

  • Knowledge or experience of LED video, or live event production, film production or a related industry

  • Experience working with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite specifically

  • Experience using Google Analytics

  • Experience using Wordpress

  • Ability with foreign languages

  • Experience of engaging external contractors (e.g. designers, copywriters) and managing them on projects

  • A technical background and/or the ability to understand the features and functions of complex control products
