Why is this role exciting?

Bean Research is expanding. We now need support with four or five long-term social impact monitoring projects for Charities and Charitable Foundations. These will involve data collection through to analysis and reporting, and keeping up to date with associated partners and clients.

We are different from other research organisations in that we work only on with charities and charitable foundations and responsible businesses keen to improve their social impact, and we offer complete flexibility for any employee.

Flexibility is given in both the hours and days you work and your location. The role too offers variety and flexibility.  As well as working on our commissioned impact assessment projects you will have the opportunity to shape the approach, the analysis and the reporting and support as we grow and extend our offering to a wider range of charities and charitable foundations.

Your role could look a little like this:

  • Use your experience in research to deliver & collate monitoring information, manage the relationships and report on four regular monitoring & evaluation programmes undertaken by Bean Research

  • Prepare & format M&E forms, and reporting templates

  • Collate & analyse data by programme and by quarter

  • Succinctly present and report findings in Word and PowerPoint

  • Work closely with clients,  partners and Bean Research associates

  • Source and record wider research and insight on impact and evaluation assessment

  • Further develop your skills and training on social impact assessment & research

  • Conduct one-off research projects for Bean Research, where appropriate

  • Support Bean Research Director with its widening portfolio of clients

  • Work with clients and their partner organisations to deliver the most accurate evaluation and monitoring

  • Contribute to impact assessment design and project approaches, increasing the quality of Bean Research monitoring offer

  • Reflect and feed into Bean’s latest work and thinking online and on thought leadership platforms

Who you are:

Previous experience of project management, research analysis and reporting is essential, along with the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team. You’ll be comfortable juggling projects, be well organised, have fantastic attention to detail and be really passionate about the charity sector and the inspiring work they do.

Bean Managers should be enthusiastic, energetic and keen to learn with the ability to collaborate, build positive relationships and demonstrate excellent communication skills. You will have drive, be able to optimise opportunities and display excellent judgement.

This will particularly suit someone keen to balance work and caring responsibilities.  Diverse backgrounds and experiences are valued.

Who we are:

Bean Research was founded in 2012 and specialises in research on sustainability, corporate responsibility and designing, developing, and implementing impact assessment frameworks.

We’re passionate about social impact, rooted in the rigour of research.

We are a boutique firm and operate largely through partnerships with other Associates and Agencies.
