Neighbourhood Housing Manager

These are exciting times in Lambeth. We offer a challenging, exciting and innovative part-time opportunity for an experienced housing manager to compliment a very experienced manager who has decided to work part-time. This is a 14-hour (Thursday and Friday) working week.

The Role

The post holder will have responsibility for the management of Neighbourhood Housing Services delivered through a team of staff to a designated Neighbourhood and be responsible for carrying out management functions in a number of key areas.

They will manage, monitor and direct a team of Neighbourhood Housing staff in a designated Neighbourhood providing a frontline housing management service to Lambeth tenants, leaseholders and other stakeholders involving casework, the investigation and resolution of service requests, enquiries, complaints and disputes. 

The post holder will be expected to effectively manage the resources of a neighbourhood team to ensure that the Council’s housing services are delivered to defined standard including regular review and monitoring of performance and setting targets as required. As part of this process, they will provide guidance, support and leadership to the team supervisors/managers and to their staff.

They will lead on the development and delivery of service improvements for customers within their area and will assist the Head of Neighbourhood Housing Services to develop operational plans with a 3 to 5-year timescale to secure the achievement of service and council objectives.
