An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Accountant to work across two connected businesses on a part time basis. Ideally 10am-2pm Monday to FridayJob Description: * Dealing with foreign currency transactions in connection to imported goods * Receipts and invoices * Forecasting * Management accounts, month end/year end * HRMC queries * VAT * Liaising with suppliers/contracts and various schemes * Purchase ledger/sales ledger/reconciliations/credit control * Accounting function is currently outsourced to a firm of Accountants. The job holder will bring this back in-house to gain more control of this function * Costs and budget control * Payroll, permanent staff and sub-contractors * Liaising with clients * Balance and maintain accurate ledgers * Match purchase orders with invoices * Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management * Monitor offer expenses and tally and enter cash receipts * Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances * Develop monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets * Prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns, along with payroll, operating and business taxesPerson Specification:Ideally fully qualifiedPreferably ten years’ experience of working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reportsStrong knowledge of accounting principlesExtensive experience with data entry, record keeping etcExperience of Xero/Sage/QuickBooks or similar plus MS ExcelExperience in services related to payroll such as writing cheques and submitting payroll taxesStrong understating of business and income tax worksheets and computationsMust have experience of foreign currenciesHighly organised and capable person, able to liaise will at all levelsExcellent communication skills, good customer relationship buildingBudget and forecastingMonthly stock reportsPayroll (preparing information for outsourced payroll company)Dealing with HMRCAll bookkeeping related queriesChase paymentsAdditional Information:Weybridge based10-2pm Monday to Friday, some flexibility considered, however it is preferable for the jobholder to work five days a week, working for two businesses in the group.£20-25 per hourParkingFull benefits packagePlease note; Due to the large number of applications that we receive, if you have not had a response within 7 days, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.Follow us on Twitter or join our Facebook community by clicking ‘Like’ on our Optima Recruitment Ltd page.
