Part Time Accounts Administrator / Bookkeeper

Job Description – Accounts Administrator/Bookkeeper Fixed Term contract until 31/04/22 to cover maternity leaveOur client, an international company who provide a variety of products and services to the agricultural sector, is currently recruiting for a Part Time Accounts Administrator to cover maternity leave. The RoleThe role of an Accounts Administrator is to own the day-to-day finances of the company to enable accurate and timely reporting.  Responsibilities Maintaining the Profit & Loss and Balance sheet. This may include tasks such as: Raising sales invoices in Xero as prompted by the CRM and credit control to aid cashflowReviewing purchase invoices uploaded to the automated system and ensuring timely payment of invoices and expensesPurchasing of consumablesReconciliation of the bank and staff expense system in a timely manner Processing of month end journals and performing month end checks Recording fixed assets on the register and running depreciation Running and processing payroll and ensuring all payroll liabilities are reconciled Processing, reviewing and payment of the VAT return Providing meaningful commentary on month end management accounts Confidence and forward thinking, challenging current processes and suggesting improvements and implementationRequired SkillsPrevious experience in accountsExcellent interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communicationNumerate with strong IT skillsConfident and self-motivated being able to work on your own initiativeAttention to detailExperience with XeroDesirable SkillsExperience with Datamolino or other automated invoice systemsExperience with Approval MaxExperience with Xero PayrollLocationThis role is based in Shipton-By-Beningbrough, York. Remote working consideredPackagePart time maximum 3 days/week (25.5 hours) on an initial 6 month contract until 31/04/22 (maternity cover)20 days holiday per year including bank holidays assuming a 3 day week Salary dependant on experienceImmediate start available
