Part time Accounts Assistant / BookkeeperYou will be required to come into the office for handover and reconciliations at least for the first month. If you are uncomfortable with this due to covid, please do not apply.We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper that will have strong transactional accounts skills and is competent with Xero accounting package.It is envisaged this will be part time, 1 day a week, however to begin with it could be more due to Xero needing quite a lot of attention.Reporting to the Directors you will be responsible for all bank reconciliations, processing a simple payroll and ensuring intercompany transactions are accounted for correctly in both Company’s.Responsibilities include:Liaising with the Directors for any unknown transactionsProcess periodic VAT returnsEnsure staff payroll is paid and processed accurately and in accordance with company timeframesMeeting with the Director’s once a month to discuss the financial statements in XeroLiaising with the Company accountant throughout the year when necessary and at year endKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCEQualification/experience:Solid understanding of bookkeepingManagement accounts experienceAAT part qualified/qualified or similar professional finance qualificationKnowledge & specific skills:Knowledge of Xero accounting systemExcellent/competitive salary offer in line with experience.
