Part Time Assistant Accountant, c25hpw, to £30k + Study + Benefits, Near Woking

This is an excellent opportunity for a well skilled Assistant Accountant to work for a fast growing hi tech business based conveniently near Woking and accessible from the M3 and M25.

This office based role is being offered on a part time / reduced hours basis and candidates will need to commit to working c5 hours a day on 5 days a week (25-27 hpw in total), specific start and finish times can be tailored to fit your commitments though.

Working in a small Finance and Admin team with another Assistant Accountant and in support of the Finance Director, you will take responsibility for a range of finance and admin tasks including:

Working in Multi-Currency

Posting to the SAP accounting system

Accruals, Prepayments and Journals

Dealing with Accounts Payable and Receivable

Processing Expenses on Concur

Producing Pricing and Profitability Analysis

Intrastat and EC Sales List

Producing Framework Agreements and Tender support

Departmental Management Reporting

This varied and challenging role will suit someone with at least 3-5 year’s experience working in a commercial environment. You will have hands on knowledge of a variety of software packages including strong Excel. Experience of SAP would be an advantage but is not essential as long as you have other decent accounting systems skills.

You will be a confident communicator who will be comfortable in a friendly and supportive team environment and be able to work to and meet deadlines. You will be a flexible self starter with a strong work ethic, a commercial outlook, an appetite for challenges and for adding value. Accuracy, attention to detail, numeracy and problem solving skills will also benefit in this position. This job could suit someone studying toward an accountancy qualification and study support can be available.

In addition to the competitive basic salary (to £30k for 25-27 hours a week – standard hours are 9-5 in a normal week), benefits include free parking, 24 days holiday rising to 28 days in year 2, a joint contributory pension matched to 5%, a private health scheme and a bonus of up to 10% based on company performance.
