Part time Audit and Compliance OfficerAn established SME contractor delivering services to complex projects inclusive of maintenance, inspection, and design on commercial, industrial, construction and rail projectsYour new roleReporting to the Director and based at their Head Office the Audit Officer is accountable for the completion of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ), carrying out customer satisfaction surveys, reviewing and updating portals with relevant documentation such as certificates, insurance and training, to name but a few. They will be accountable for responding to customer requests for additional information too.As Audit Manager, they will lead on:Developing and managing the company's Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management systems, inclusive of annual reviews.Managing accreditation such as: NASC, ISO9001, RISQS, CHAS, SMAS, Alcumus SafeContractor, Achilles Building Confidence and Construction online and safe guarding the company certifications as needed.Responsible for the Rail Management SystemLiaising with external auditors, supplying information as required.Carrying out internal audits on SHEQ and Rail Management SystemResponsible for non-conformance and continual improvement registerManage and process near miss reporting procedureCreating and distributing the Health and Safety Newsletter, Client Updates and Staff NewslettersPrepare award submissionsSend SHEQ updates and communicationAccountable for fire alarm testing and bi-annual fire drillsUndertake risk assessment of propertiesConducting staff surveysManage supply chain sustainability schoolAudit project filesMaintaining plant and equipment registerWhat you'll need to succeedInternal audit experience preferredExtensive experience in Quality, Environment, Health and Safety preferredIt is preferred that you have exposure to Construction and/ or Civil sectorsAvailable to work 25hours per week over 5 daysThe role will be office based 5 days a weekA good working competence of Excel and other Microsoft PackagesMethodical and organised, with great attention to detailWhat you'll get in returnYou will be joining an established SME with a diverse range of projects. You will support and have access to the Executive Director through to the site staff, ensuring full compliance and continuous improvement of their SHEQ commitments.
