Working for a very well-established Firm of Accountants, this role will be really interesting and varied.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a wide range of duties for a number of client companies. This could typically include running sales and purchase ledgers, undertaking banking and bank reconciliation work, preparing and submitting VAT returns on their behalf, credit control, month end reports and so on. You will use a variety of software to undertake these tasks, including Xero, Sage and Quickbooks.
The hours can be reasonably flexible, but it is envisaged the Firm will need somebody for between 20 and 26 hours. The hours can be worked over 3, 4 or 5 days to suit and they can accommodate school hours.
Currently the staff are working partly in the office and partly remotely.
Whilst having previous experience of working in a Firm of Accountants will give you a slight advantage, it is by no means necessary, but applicants must be strong double entry bookkeepers.
