Four Squared Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established company based in Stourbridge to recruit an experienced Part Time Bookkeeper to join the team on a part time permanent basis.

Your role will be providing high quality financial management information and support. The role will involve a variety of responsibilities including the preparation of the data for monthly management accounts and statutory financial statements, along with additional analysis.

Responsibilities will include some of the following;

  • Posting of cash receipts and payments to the Sales and Purchase Ledgers, along with housekeeping of the customer and supplier accounts
  • Appropriately coding and posting of overhead Purchase invoices to the ledger
  • Preparation of the month end cash movement report
  • Maintenance of physical Petty Cash, petty cash spreadsheet and posting of associated journals
  • Production of suggested payments list, obtain authorisation for payments from Company Accountant, enter into cash book and post to supplier accounts
  • Reconciliation of Cash Sale invoices to cash received
  • Calculating Accruals and Prepayments and posting journals (including calculating gas, electric and water accruals using meter readings)
  • Calculate commission accrual monthly using information received from Sales, keep spreadsheet up to date and inform MD when payment received from customers. Update again when invoice received
  • Help with the production of monthly cashflow forecast
  • Have an understanding of how the monthly management accounts are produced and provide support as requested by the Company Accountant
  • Have an understanding of how the year end accounts are produced and provide support as requested by the Company Accountant
  • To provide back-up for certain daily duties in case of absence
  • Experience;

  • 3 year’s + of previous accounting experience
  • AAT Level 3 or 4 qualified
  • Qualified to degree level in Accounting or finance preferred
  • Working knowledge of excel and other Microsoft Office programmes
