Part-Time Bookkeeper

Your new company

Hays are delighted to be partnered with a successful SME who hold a strong position in their market, with a loyal customer base. This role is available on a permanent, part-time basis, with my client ideally looking for someone to work 5 short days per week.

Your new role
Your role will start as a fairly classic accounts administration position, with your core remit being focused around ledger work, invoicing, stock updates and collating payroll data. Over time, there is going to be the opportunity to take more work off of the current Accountant, so fantastic development potential is here for the right person.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a strong bookkeeper with good on the job accounting experience. Ideally you will be AAT qualified or currently studying but candidates with good experience and no qualifications will still be considered. You must be able to work a minimum of 4 days per week, with the ideal situation being to work 5 short days, with flexibility around school hours an option.

What you'll get in return
This role offers a good salary of between £22,000 - £25,000 (full time equivalent) but what I think is best about this role is the potential for growth and development. If you have the drive and ambition, this business will grow your responsibility and experience over time, with the ultimate aim being to have you stepping into the Accountants shoes in the future.
