Job Description

The Role:

Planning and Briefing

  • Co-ordination, briefing and planning of all day to day paid marketing – focusing on Paid Search, Google Shopping, programmatic, retargeting, YouTube, affiliates and social.
  • Keeping marketing planners and business planners up to date.
  • Work with Group stakeholders to shape the digital marketing agenda engaging all areas of the business as appropriate.
  • Work with Digital Marketing Stakeholders to anticipate the needs for peak seasons, monitoring industry trends, planning and activation
  • Financial and budget planning of all digital activity to agreed rule sets
  • Co-ordinating movements with your counterpart to ensure coverage for task and reporting lines
  • Team Management

  • Reviewing and shaping marketing plans and daily team priorities in response to performance.
  • Lead, coach, develop and motivate the Digital Marketing team, to enable them to individually perform at their best.
  • Ensure both your own and the teams operational fundamentals are executed to the highest standard ensuring the best customer experience.
  • Reporting and Analytics

  • Production of regular channel reporting.
  • Monitoring and optimising online marketing channels in line with KPI’s and budgets.
  • Channel analysis and updating the wider business on channel performance.
  • Undertaking test and learn initiatives within marketing channels.
  • Communication

  • Communicating all commercial and content changes to external agencies and partners.
  • Communicating your channel needs to the business and other teams.
  • Communication with other internal teams to ensure you understand business and commercial activities.
  • Briefing of assets and copy as required, ensuring they are in-line with brand guidelines.
  • Admin & Other

  • Manage paid spend and keep expenditure within budget.
  • Co-ordination of online marketing invoicing – purchase order to reconciliation.
  • Ensuring all online marketing channels are compliant with legal and the Advertising Standards Authority.
  • Qualifications

    Essential Skills:

    Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in a good range of paid channels - paid search, Google Shopping, programmatic, retargeting, YouTube and social - agency or client side
  • Line management experience
  • Functional understanding of SEO best practices
  • Functional understanding of Social Media best practice
  • Commercially astute and numerical with strong analytical ability able to interpret data
  • Strong ROI focus, motivated and results driven
  • A customer centric approach to work
