Part Time Finance Manager Flexible & Remote Working

A charitable organisation that provides hospice care in the Northamptonshire area is looking for a Part Time Finance Manager to join the team. They are looking for the right person and are prepared to work around you, so flexible and remote working is available.The purpose of the role is to provide financial control, accounting, and reporting for all the charity’s activities, supporting the Trustee Board and the Executives with accurate and timely information and insight.As a Part Time Finance Manager working remotely, your responsibilities will include:Taking responsibility for the management and coordination of financial activity within the charity including ensuring adequate supervision of volunteers and cash-handling processes.Carrying out the day-to-day accounting for the Trust, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions, an efficient and timely month-end close (including required reconciliations), payment of suppliers, treasury management and processing of payroll.Being responsible for relevant statutory compliance (e.g., VAT returns, PAYE compliance and any other tax related obligations), and there are additional rules for charity VAT.Constantly looking to identify and lead on improvements to the organisation’s financial systems, controls, and procedures.Contributing to the strategy and Executive decisions and discussions.Carrying out the production of annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow forecasts for the Trust, working closely and collegiately with the Chief Executive and Director of Income Generation.Preparing the monthly trust management information pack and attend the monthly board meetings, working with the Chief Executive and trustees to refine quality of presentation.Preparing the annual statutory accounts in the required Charity SORP format, and work with the auditors to ensure completion of the audit within required timescales.We are looking for a Part Time Finance Manager who has the following skills and experiences:Qualified accountant or working towards qualification.Previous experience in a senior finance role.Experience of working in finance for a charity is desirable.Detailed experience of managing budgets and financial reporting systems is essential, as well as completing VAT and other tax returns.Good leadership skills and possessing high level communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively with the flexibility to adapt to changing needs.Highly motivated, positive and self-reliant.This is a fantastic opportunity to join an amazing charitable organisation that provides care for patients with life-limiting illnesses who need the specialist help of hospice care.To apply for this role as Part Time Finance Manager, please click apply online and upload an updated copy of your CV.Candidate Source Ltd is an advertising agency.
