Part Time Financial Controller

Job Description \n\nExciting part-time opportunity to join an established property business with an appetite for growth. Reporting directly to the MD, you will manage an accounts assistant and be responsible for the entire finance function of the business. This is a hands-on role, which offers candidates the chance to drive the business forward.\n\nRequirements\n\nFully qualified (ACCA or CIMA)\nExperience of accounting within an SME (ideally in the property sector)\nGood written and verbal communication skills\nSelf-motivated and strong attention to detail\nExperience of accounting software (ideally a property specific accounting software)\nFlexible, efficient, pro-active and well organised\nSome company secretarial and corporation tax exposure would be desirable \nKey responsibilities \n\nManage, support and oversee accounts assistant role\nProduction of quarterly management accounts and supporting commentary\nPreparation of quarterly intra-company recharge invoices and transfer of funds\nOwnership of year end statutory accounting (4 'active companies and three holding companies)\nPreparation and calculation of lease incentives\nPreparation and calculation of shares portfolio journals\nPreparation of annual accounts for Charity Trust\nPreparation of recharge invoices required under VAT partnership and transaction processing of associated transfers\nPayroll \/ Processing staff expense claims\nOverseeing the preparation & reconciliation of Service charge budgets\/ accounts\nPreparation of VAT returns and other filings with HMRC\nPreparation and submission of all company confirmation statements\nPreparation of development project financial appraisals & progress reporting\nPreparation of annual Budgets & medium-term Forecasts\nPreparation of monthly development project cost reporting\nAnnual processing of dividends\nYou will work 2 - 3 days per week, or mornings.
