Part-time HR Advisor

\nPart Time Advisor upto \u00A327k pro rata. Working 4 days or 5 shorter days. (Take home for part time would be circa \u00A321600)\u00A0\n\nA superb opportunity to join a leading manufacturing organisation in the role of Part-Time HR Advisor. This position would suit a person currently working as a HR Advisor, or HR Administrator, HR Coordinator HR Assistant looking to make that next step up.\n\nYour main responsibility will be to provide a HR Generalist service to employees and line managers across all areas of HR.\n\nReporting to the Senior HR Manager, this is a part-time, permanent position to be based at our Teesside office for 3 or 4 days per week. Actual days of work can be flexible. Please note travel to the North West will be required.\n\nMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\n- Recruitment : Write job advertisements; prepare short-lists for Hiring Managers; prepare interview frameworks; assist and lead interviews; negotiate agency terms and conditions; assist with developing recruitment campaigns.\n\n- Health and wellbeing : Prepare management referrals; arrange counselling sessions; be a Mental Health First Aid point of contact; support with health and wellbeing related projects and initiatives.\n\n- Discipline \/ grievance \/ capability : Support line managers with HR investigations \/ performance improvement plans; provide advice and guidance; coach line managers in line with company policy and best practice; prepare relevant paperwork.\n\n- Policies and procedures : Advise employees on policies and procedures; contribute to new policies; ensure policies are in line with current legislation.\n\n- Pay and reward : Prepare pay spreadsheets; advise on the Company reward policy.\n\n- HR metrics : Monitor key metrics such as turnover and retention and suggest opportunities for improvement.\n\nThis is a broad generalist role.\n\nKEY COMPETENCIES:\n\n- Working with People\n\n- Adhering to Principles and Values\n\n- Relating and Networking\n\n- Persuading and Influencing\n\n- Writing and Reporting\n\n- Applying Expertise and Technology\n\n- Analysing\n\n- Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations\n\nEXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:\n\n- Educated to degree level in Business \/ HR.\n\n- CIPD qualified to level 5 or above or willingness to work towards this.\n\n- 3 years' experience working in a HR Generalist role.\n\n- Excellent employment law knowledge.\n\n- Excellent employee relations experience.\n\n- SAP experience would be desirable.\n\n- Excellent communication skills.\n\n- Able to maintain confidentiality.\n\n- Right to work in the UK.\n\n- Valid UK driving licence.\n\nBENEFITS:\n\n- Bonus dependent on company and individual performance.\n\n- CIPD annual membership fees paid for.
