HR Advisor - Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team on a 12-14 month fixed term contract (maternity cover). The HR Advisor will be responsible for the day to day running of the HR department. This is a stand-alone, part time position, approx. 25 hours per week.

What you’ll do:

  • Process monthly payroll, including all overtime, leave and pension auto-enrolment for approx. 100 employees
  • Manage the cost effective and timely recruitment and selection of all staff
  • Provide day to day generalist HR support, advice and guidance
  • Manage all employee lifecycle administrative processes
  • Support managers with performance, development and employee relations issues
  • Manage and update all HR processes and systems, providing consistency across the business
  • Develop and maintain policies in line with current legislation and best practice
  • Produce monthly and ad hoc reports as required
  • Support the Management Team with ad hoc project work

What you’ll need:

  • Demonstrable experience working as a HR Generalist
  • Payroll processing experience
  • Up to date knowledge of Employment Law and Best Practices
  • Flexible and adaptable, skilled in organising work, defining tasks, setting priorities and working independently
  • Excellent written, oral and IT communication
  • Numeracy and intermediate Excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • People orientated and the ability to build strong relationships
  • Positive and approachable attitude

Contract length: 14 months

Part-time hours: 25 per week

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 FTE
