VANRATH are recruiting a Part Time HSO – Data Analyst for one of their Public Sector clients based in Belfast. Reporting into Senior Manager, this is an immediate start for an initial duration of six months with scope for extension. The role is 15 hours per week Monday to Friday – flexible working accommodated. The work carried out in this role aims to have a direct impact on improving business areas across the Public Sector in NI.

Responsibilities You will have a collaborative approach that builds and maintains strong relationships within and across departmental boundaries and will also be comfortable presenting a constructive challenge when appropriate, including to senior colleagues. Provide high quality ad-hoc, routine, contractual, organisational and statutory information to support internal and external performance monitoring including developments of performance dashboards Help to identify areas of underperformance including supporting the development of actions plans and trajectories where appropriate Developing, documenting and using methods for data extraction from corporate systems and production of information
Candidate Degree Level (preferably statistics, maths, data science) At least 2 years’ experience in the analysis of data from designed experiments in the biological sciences Experience either in using the GenStat statistical analysis package and its programming language or in using the R programming language Experience with programming in Visual Basic, such as to produce or amend Excel and WORD macros would be an advantage
£29,000 – £32,000 pro rata, alongside discount Benefits, holiday pay and pension from day one.
