We are a small European importer of sustainable seafood from around the world. Our customer base stretches across Europe and varies from small distributors to larger retailers. Our suppliers partners are "best in class" fishing companies from around the world.
We are looking for a part-time permanent Finance Manager to work flexibly between our offices in Marlborough and from home for 2.5 days a week. You'll be the guardian of our finances, and provide support to our sales and service desk teams to enable us all to deliver excellent service to our customers.
We are looking for someone who lives and breathes good bookkeeping. You'll have strong attention to detail, who works quickly and accurately under pressure. Xero experience is essential so that you can hit the ground running. You will have a lot of autonomy, so it is important that you are an excellent communicator and can work effectively with remote teams as needed.
Key roles & responsibilities include:
•Producing payment runs and sending out remittances
•Raising recharge invoices accurately and in a timely manner
•Daily aged debtor reporting
•Dealing with all queries for accounts
•Assisting the sales and service desk teams with any queries
•German and UK VAT returns
•Intrastats and EC sales lists
•Supplier statement reconciliations
•Assistance with year-end accounts and reconciliations
•Ad hoc duties
Skills / Experience required:
•CIMA/ACCA qualified, AAT qualified would be considered depending on experience
•Knowledge of Xero
• Strong inventory experience
•A proactive approach to adapting processes
•A willingness to do all aspects of finance, whatever is required
•Honest and open communicator
•Able to work well efficiently and methodically under pressure
