Part-time Senior Bookkeeper

Due to expansion, a newly created role has become available to support the VP Finance & Compliance. Are you looking for more responsibility within a bookkeeping role? You will take on the bookkeeping activities for the company and after initial training have real autonomy in your role, working 2.5 days per week or equivalent hours. Duties include: 

  • Taking responsibility for all bookkeeping tasks in Xero
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Entering purchases invoices
  • Reviewing staff expenses
  • Reconciliation of bank statements
  • Supporting weekly payment runs
  • Reviewing and approval of staff expenses
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Completing Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Completing Receivables & Payables Reconciliations
  • Supporting with the Accruals, Prepayments, Fixed Assets
  • Supporting the preparation of quarterly group VAT returns
  • Assisting the VP Finance & Compliance with the year end audit

This is a busy role and will require:

  • Experience in a similar bookkeeping role
  • Excellent Excel Skills and some experience using an accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive, self-motivated
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and handle multiple tasks to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
