Part Time Structural Engineer - Bid Writer

An opportunity for a Bid /Proposal writer who wants to grow into a business development role with a structural engineering background.
Purpose of the role:
To support the Director in writing fee proposals and winning new work within a proactive business development strategy. Fully using your technical structural knowledge to understand the clients' requirements, write the scope of works, fee proposals and support the Director in hitting sales targets.
Key tasks:
Structural engineering/Technical expertise:
Good understanding of Engineering (ideally with a degree in Structural Engineering)
Produce scope of works and fee proposals efficiently and accurately to the clients' requirements
Send scope of fee proposals and follow this up with the clients to get appointed
Work alongside the Director
Attend networking events
Hit sales targets
Develop into a business development role alongside the Director
Degree in civil/structural engineering.
Competence with use of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Google and calendar; PDF writers.
Commercial awareness to develop business opportunities from contacts
Positive attitude to your work and the client's wishes.
Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced professional commercial business environment and understand the need to respond quickly to requests for information
