We are therefore looking for people to join our team who embrace change and revel at the idea of joining a start-up business that is going to grow to become a household name.For those that are lucky enough to join the team for the journey, there will be plenty to learn, the work will be challenging at times, but the rewards will be great and there is going to be plenty of fun along the way.Find Your Activity aims to become the nerve centre for finding local activity providers, like Trip Advisor is to travel and Uber is to Taxi, if you have the skills and ambition and want to be part of the journey contact us today!RequirementsThe IndividualWe are looking for an experienced Web Developer who must have a keen interest in all things around web design and development, and ideally aspires to become our Head of Development / CTO longer term.Must have a sense of humour, a willingness to learn and to develop with us, helping us to build the best platform to take the business to the next level.A general ‘hands-on’ approach is essential.They must be a self-starter, comfortable working from home and setting themselves clear goals to be achieved each day.Main Functions & DutiesCurrently our website is hosted managed and developed by an external 3rd party company. The Web Designer will need to explore the current setup and develop the best structure for the business now and in the future. Bringing some development in house which they themselves with own along with continuing to use 3rd party development support for other areas.The web designer will need to explore suitable 3rd party solutions and own the process of bringing these into our platform.We currently use Algolia for our search on the platform, the web designer will need to own this relationship and manage all changes in this area.The Web Designer will develop a product roadmap, taking input from the CEO.Use your own initiative to problem solve, highlight improvements, and streamline processes.Reporting directly to our CEO you will have a seat at the table to help make the decisions that will build a thriving community platform.Essential SkillsDemonstratable talent in HTML, CSS, JavaScript as well as PHP would be ideal.Good command of English both oral and writtenPositive working attitudeConfident and ProfessionalGood CommunicatorBenefitsPart Time Role - Ideally 1 or 2 days per week, but hours are flexible - fully home based.Salary - competitive flexible for the right candidateIf this role sound like you and you embrace the idea of working in a start up contact us today!
