Part Time Payroll Manager job opportunity for creative retail business in central London. Remote working
For this job role you will be joining an established retail business based near London Bridge. This assignment will be remote working on a temporary basis for 3-6 months. This is an established business of circa 200 employees.

Working as the Interim Payroll Manager you will be reporting into the Finance Manager and CFO on a part time basis. The company is flexible with how you complete your hours in the week but are ideally looking for someone to complete about 20 hours per week across 5 days. Using Sage payroll, you will be ensuring the smooth running of the payroll for 150 full time permanent employees and 50 casual workers. Duties will include:

  • Payroll from start to finish for 200 employees using Sage payroll
  • Accounting for starters and leavers - SSP, SMP, SPP - P11ds
  • Liaising with HMRC
  • Year-end reporting
  • Processing payments
  • Handling payroll queries
  • Processing timesheets and calculating pay for shift pattern workers
  • Ensuring all correct deductions are made including for pension and other benefits
  • Processing the job retention scheme and ensuring employees are kept up-to-date on all furlough related matters

  • This role needs a confident payroller that can run a payroll by themselves with autonomy and little supervision (although initial training will be provided). You must be accurate with your work, a quick learner and an effective communicator at all levels. Ideally you will have experience with processing and calculating furlough payments and you MUST have experience with sage payroll to be considered for this role.
