Part time - 12.5 Hours per week (Monday to Friday, days to be agreed)

A Little About This Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pensions Manager to join the charity’s Reward team, overseeing the administration of the closed DB and current DC schemes. This will involve coordinating the activities of the trustees, third party advisors (investment, administrative, actuarial, audit and legal) and supporting the Chair of Trustees and senior charity stakeholders.

This role requires a flexible approach, working in a fast paced, varied role where no two weeks are the same. Flexibility will be a priority where regular hours and days in the office can differ week to week. You will have a positive, collaborative approach, be a good communicator with excellent organisation skills, along with an analytical focus and a strong eye for detail. The ability to build effective relationships in this role is essential whilst also being able to work autonomously dealing with matters proactively and effectively.

The Key Responsibilities Of The Role Are

You will have significant recent experience in corporate pension schemes with a good understanding of current industry regulations and legislation. Ideally you will have or be working towards relevant pension qualifications or have equivalent experience.

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the charity and Trustees as required
  • Manage and be the point of contact for all defined benefit providers ensuring the service is high quality, accurate, timely and in line with SLAs

Oversee the management and providers for the DC scheme

  • Ensure strong governance is in place and compliance with relevant legislation
  • Manage the associated life assurance scheme including renewals
