Hours: Part time role; approx. 6 hours a day – some flexibility in start and finish times.
Holiday: 24 days per annum (ideally to be taken when TRH are away)

Location: The Office of TRH Prince and Princess Michael of Kent is based at Kensington Palace and supports and coordinates TRH’s official, charitable, private and business activities.

Salary: £25,000 (or £40,000 PA pro rata)


Organisation of Princess Michael's diary (with reference to Prince Michael and the Private Secretary).  Close liaison with the Private Secretary’s EA over engagements undertaken by both PM and PssM.

Coordination of detailed programmes for non-official/personal UK and overseas visits (and liaison with the FCO) for TRH.  Booking of flights, train tickets etc. plus other logistical travel

Liaison with Buckingham Palace where appropriate, and arranging TRH’s attendance at Royal events

General correspondence - response to letters from members of the public and charities on a wide range of topics

Ordering of clothes/books/general items for TRH (and subsequent running of errands)

Website updating

Keeping up-to-date with PssM's charitable organisations

Assistance to run the private side of the Household together with the Housekeepers.  Ordering of various household items, such as cleaning materials and external services.  Helping with requirements for the pets (one dog, two cats) e.g. vet visits

Events including book launches and private parties

Up-keep of annual lists, e.g. Christmas cards, present list, annual summer drinks party.
