Our client is an iconic watch and jewellery company based in London. They are presently looking for a PR Manager to join their team to support one of their fast-developing brands, holding responsibility for creating and managing PR and events strategy for the UK and Ireland. This is a part time role that will report into the Brand Manager and Head of Communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a clear understanding of brands audience and its relevant media landscape
- Management of the press sample collection and all editorial photo-shoots
- Maximise editorial coverage through special stories and events - feature pieces and profile stories for the brands
- Ensure excellent media relationships within key media,
- Identify and facilitate new joint venture and partnership PR opportunities that are relevant for the UK market
- Manage the distribution of press releases, and images to agreed media
- Responsible for the creation of an annual events strategy working in line with the marketing objectives and within budget
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager/Brand Manager to create an effective public relations strategy to reach both existing and potential consumers
- Create a close working relationship with the brand HQ’s to ensure correct and smooth communication with the media
- Request and manage requests for interviews withsenior executives, working closely with the Head of Communications
- Develop a thorough understanding of the brand product
- Co-ordinate and facilitate all brand media PR events
- Maintain press clippings folders for archive, updating on a regular basis
- Bi-annual statistical analysis of all editorial results for review, feedback and to set future objectives with Head of Communications
- Provide regular PR activity updates to the Head of Communications and work in line with the objectives set
Skills for the role
- Experience within brand PR and Events
- Proven time management skills and the ability to create and manage strategies
- Excellent media contacts, and the ability to develop and strengthen new relationships relevant for the brands
- An ability to work with different teams, and to demonstrate a flexibility to work across many projects at the same time under pressure
- Experience within the watch and jewellery industry an advantage
- A proactive attitude to generating press coverage essential
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- A good standard of IT expertise
