Our client is a growing fintech startup on a mission to simplify home finances. They are VC backed and looking for a strategic Brand/PR Marketing Manager with experience producing creative/adverts, and dealing with media relations and building a brand from scratch. You will need to possess a genuine passion for providing a simpler solution to homeowners.

Role background
This VC backed start-up is growing fast and they need a strategic thinker to make them a household name in 26 Million UK homes.

Working closely with the founders and product team, you will report into the CEO and ultimately lead all PR and communications marketing aspects, from product positioning and identity roadmap through to digital. We are looking for a Marketing Manager with prior branding, positioning and community building experience. Curiosity is key with a focus on defining strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop the brand marketing strategies (PR mainly, interacting with media) in order to establish strategic direction and program positioning

  • Produce creative adverts

  • Ensure that the product maintains a consistent tone that is relevant to the business’s brand and the consumers

  • Ensuring consistent, on-time and accurate development, delivery, and assets running for each brand marketing campaign

  • Defining, measuring and understanding our growth metrics.

  • Plan and coordinate marketing activities – seek appropriate information from business stakeholders and complete tasks to a high standard

  • Work closely with the sales team to effectively execute campaigns and analyse their success

  • Content creation (Video, Mailshots, Ads, Website copy, etc)

Experience and skills

  • Able to pick up the phone to journalists (and has experience charming the media)

  • Can write a script and has the experience to know what does and doesn't go right during video production

  • Buying advertising space including pricing an handling media owners

  • Have shaped and executed branding marketing campaigns for tech or corporate businesses

  • Top tier PR experience

  • Have experience of working in a lean and agile environment with hands-on experience of relevant techniques and tools

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to articulate complex ideas to a range of audiences, simply. 

  • Flexible engagement style with ability to tailor according to the audience.

  • A pro-active, self-starter with a can-do attitude

  • Ideally, you will have start-up or agency experience having built growth in early stage companies through to later stages companies that are consumer-facing digital products. Over time, you will build a multi-channel marketing and growth team.
