This is an exciting time to join Procurement at Swansea University as it is about to embark upon a transformation programme which will act as a key enabler for both the University’s longer-term strategic aims and embedding a more strategic approach to procurement that will deliver long-term sustainable benefits.
The transformation of procurement represents a significant change for the University and as such a programme of work has been established to drive changes to our systems, processes, behaviours and practices transforming the way we work.
This is brand new role will play a key part to the success of the programme, initiating and managing change, working closely with Finance colleagues developing reporting and evidencing benefits realisation, supporting the programme management, risk management and planning, whilst longer term ensuring continuous improvement and Procurement best practice.

Terms and Conditions of employment
Hours: 35 per week. (This is a full time post but applications from individuals seeking part time, job share or flexible working arrangements are welcome).
Annual leave: 31 days per annum plus Bank Holidays (pro rata for part time staff).
The salary will be on the Grade 9 salary scale.
The appointment is subject to the General Terms of Appointment for Academic and related Staff.
