The role:

As the Procurement Vendor Specialist you will be responsible for effectively co-ordinating both local and BPO delivery of objectives related to operational Procurement activities. Through effective communication and influence you will ensure that strong relationships are built  and maintained with the Central Procurement function, our internal and external customers and third-party suppliers, contributing to the organisations ability to deliver an economical and valued service to the business.

What we ask

We're looking for creative problem-solvers like you, someone who can ensure Canon stays ahead in an ever-changing world. You will:

  • Be the first point of contact in case of questions, requests and issues related to outsourced procurement activities.

  • Deliver annual savings and value utilising the procurement outsourcing resource (BPO) and third-party contactors where required.

  • Develope local vendor and key supplier relationships (SRM).

  • Ensure the timely completion for end of month Procurement related accounts reconciliation, reporting and other required administration.

  • Co-ordinate and contribute to effective management of the outsourced Business Process.

  • Ensure cost-effective sourcing, delivery and supplier relationship management of key third-party purchases made by the business – for indirect goods and services.

  • Contribute to and co-ordinate the annual BPO projects / RFx pipeline.

  • Contribute, input and co-ordinate the central EMEA CENV category strategies, projects and process & policies. 

  • Support the tendering / RFx process for new supplier contracts as required.

  • Ensure sustainable, environmental and ethical supply chain consideration are met (including “supplier code of conduct”, Green procurement and GDPR etc).


You will need

As the procurement Vendor Specialist you will have the following skils and experience;

  • Extensive experience in  Procurement.

  • Local stakeholder influence, projects co-ordination and category strategy planning. Building strong rapport, influencing and procurement related negotiation skills.

  • CIPS Qualified.

  • Experience in the management  of Outsource Partner performance via BPO.

  • Experience in developing tactics and managing national or remote operations and projects.

  • Experience in managing/influencing external parties of considerable size.


Further Information

Salary – £30,600 - £32,300 with 5% OTE bonus
