The role:

In this role, you’ll really influence how successful we, EDF is as a business. Join us as a Product Development Executive to help develop and deliver the pipeline of electricity tariff products, for business customers and generators. By leading the development of our internal capabilities and processes, you’ll ensure EDF remains relevant to its customers and competitive against delivering their needs. The impact of the products you develop will be tangible – evidenced by the sales we make off the back of them. 

Managing the delivery of product developments, you will scope and plan the work needed, write the business case for the development, make necessary systems and model changes, and update our terms and conditions. Galvanising help from colleagues and teams around the business to make this happen, you’ll lead the development of our products and ensure that the appropriate processes and controls are in place for our products to function properly and be compliant with regulation.

Ideally you will be located in Croydon however, this is flexible.

Day to Day:

  • Developing and project managing the delivery of new products in response to market and customer feedback and insight.

  • Championing innovation within Industrial & Commercial Sales.

  • Maintaining and updating the existing product suite and value proposition.

  • Supporting the system or off-system process for product delivery.

  • Supporting the delivery of any promotional and pricing strategies.

  • Ensuring Customer Operations capabilities are established to support product delivery.

  • Ensuring all compliance, regulatory and financial reporting requirements are met for existing and new products.

  • Maintaining and updating terms and conditions of new and existing products.

The Person

Your key relationships will be with our Sales, Commercial, Pricing, Customer Operations, Legal, Marketing, and Regulation teams.

  • Testing: You have a test and learn approach to everything that you do. You call out assumptions being made throughout the change lifecycle.

The Skills
  • Strong relationship building and robust influencing skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – you will be writing clear and logical business papers that simplify the complex for others to understand.

  • Experience of planning, scoping and project managing diverse and multiple work streams and projects.

  • Ability to identify opportunities to simplify, control costs and create value and implement initiatives that have a measurable impact on our commercial performance.

  • Understanding of the energy industry is desirable.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • An education to degree standard or a demonstration of ability to the same level delivered in a working environment.
