The role:

L&Q is currently recruiting to a senior role with our London Operations team. Based on site you will take responsilibity for project planning, budgeting and identification of resources needed for a high profile multi-phase & multi-story residential development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises.

  • Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.

  • Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.

  • Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.

  • Ensure project documents are complete.

  • Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.

  • Serve as a key link with the stakeholders and review the deliverable prepared by the team before passing onto relevant stakeholders.

  • Promote a culture that supports the L&Q values.

  • Effectively manage all functions realated to programming, construction, design & technical and commercial activities.

  • Ensure the PC is in line with the agreed programme and to the required completeness & quality.

  • Provide quality & accurate reports for the London Operations Director.

  • Provide a disciplined and reasoned approach to safety, quality and project delivery.

You will have exceptional leadership skills and be able to evidence experience of working collaboratively with stakeholders including sub-contractors, clients and residents.

It is essential that you have relevant previous residential experience working for a tier 1 contractor or volume housebuilder and able to  demonstrate a proven track record in a similar role managing a major complex project involving muti disciplined site teams. Strong leadership skills are essential.
