Project Engineer (part time)

Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager:We are looking for an experienced and professional process oriented project engineer who will be part of a multi skilled Engineering team responsible for the deliverance of capital projects.The role is on a part time basis for 25 hours per week average.Ideally from Mechanical Engineering (although electrical will be considered) background with experience in project management the successful candidate will be responsible for the project lifecycle from design, procurement, supervision of contractors, installation, documentation and maintenance plans.Responsibilities also include specifying, organising and controlling projects within budget. If you are a detail-focused professional with over 5 years experience in project management, we encourage you to apply for this position.Job Role• Develop the specifications for all equipment that is required for each project• Prepare scope, drawings and technical specification• Work closely with production and engineering departments• Manage contract companies during the installation process• Ensure all Company Health and Safety procedures are adhered to• Manage Permit to Work procedures• Liase with Production staff for planning of work• Ensure commissioning process and procedures are adhered to• Where necessary develop maintenance plans and ensure Training plans are in place• Report back on key milestones to the Project Engineering Manager• Ensure project Budget is adhered to and monitored closelyQualifications• Degree / HNC (with experience) in Engineering or related field required• 4+ years’ related field and project planning experience• Excellent project management skills desired• Must have a positive attitude towards promoting a Health and Safety culture• Strong focus on control of contractors• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills• Field management experienceKey Skills• Excellent communication skills working with the engineering and production teams• Must have a positive attitude towards promoting a Health and Safety culture• Strong focus on control of contractors.• Must have strong written and verbal communication skillsThis is your chance to work for a well-established global company who will offer a desirable package.
