Gray Point is a boutique commercial property surveying practice, assisting local landlords and tenants.  The business was started seven years ago by Mike Gray, a qualified Chartered Surveyor with a successful career managing multi-million pound portfolios in-house for large corporate businesses.  His vision for the business was to offer outstanding commercial property advice, exceptional service and a personal touch.  At its heart is professionalism, honesty and an empathetic approach to its clients and community.  Clients range from large charitable organisations needing retained management of offices across the UK, to the local shopkeeper in need of a helping hand with his upcoming rent review.

Gray Point is run from Twickenham with registered offices at Regal House, 70 London Road.  Mike single-handedly manages every project, with the administrative support of one part time member of staff who currently works from home.

This is a client-facing role, working side by side with Mike on the day-to-day management of all commercial property-related work as well as proactively winning new clients in the locality in order to grow the business.  The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Acquisitions, lettings & disposals – research, comparisons & site visits for measuring etc.

  • Start to finish commercial property processes, including rent reviews & lease renewals

  • Legal – processing of property documentation, following current commercial property law

  • Client management – maintain portfolio, work within timelines and keep thorough records and files

  • Customer service – manage client expectations & shared handling of incoming calls

  • Team – bring ideas and knowledge to the table, brainstorm & problem-solve

  • Be an exceptional advocate and representative of the company

The role requires an experienced professional with keen people skills, strong work ethic, affable personality, sense of humour and a team player.

  • Minimum 5 years commercial property experience, RICS qualified

  • Thorough understanding of property law

  • Research experience and attention to detail essential

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills

  • Ability to get to Twickenham and enjoy working in this area (local knowledge a bonus)

  • Own transport or ability to travel for meetings & site visits throughout London & Home Counties
