Absolute is operating as a recruitment agency for the supply of permanent opportunities. Our customer is recruiting an experienced Quality Engineer to join them at their site in Newport on a part time basis – working up to 4 full days or 5 part days per week.Reporting into the QSE Manager, you will be required to help improve manufacturing / business processes to ensure that the needs, specifications and expectations of customers are met and understood within the organisation.Main Tasks/Functions/Responsibilities.Manage the customer complaints system (SAP) and internal quality issues.Visit customers’ sites when required to obtain an understanding of their issues.Assist and coordinate an analysis of the complaints / internal quality issues, ensuring that effective robust corrective and preventative actions are implemented.Inform customers of the investigation finding /actions taken to address complaints.Produce and report Quality Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data.Coach and develop problem solving techniques within production teams to create a zero defect culture and results.Conduct internal audits to ensure that the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, BRCGS for Packaging Materials.Assist with external accreditation and customer audits.Complete customer questionnaires.Conduct supplier audits.Manage the site calibration requirements.Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required.Effective Communicator at all levels of the businessDetailed knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, BRCGS for Packaging Materials or Food.Trained Auditor.Problem solving and root cause analysis.PC Literate and complete understanding of Microsoft.Awareness of a manufacturing environment (ideally gained within food industry).Whilst we endeavour to respond to all applicants who apply to our vacancies, in certain instances this is not always possible.
