Recruitment Consultant- IT Infrastructure/Cloud/Telecommunications/Cyber Security.

Overview:

We are a firm of recruiters specialising in the Information Technology (IT) sector, with an established database.   We cover both the contract and permanent market place.  We are a small but highly motivated and supportive team looking to expand. We are recruiting for a Consultant to assist with search and selecting high calibre candidates and contractors. We all work flexibly focusing on output not time at the desk.

About us:

FT Select was formed in 2007. We recruit both permanent and contract IT staff for clients, specialising in Communications (Voice/Data/UC/Telecoms), IT Infrastructure and Cloud/Server based computing skills and Cyber Security (Networks and Information Security): from technical skills (service desk to high level support and project work) through to solutions architecture, service management and project/programme management. 

We have an extensive database built up over the past ten years of IT candidates who are based across the UK.  The database is populated with CVs, interview notes, activity including interview and placement information. We also have an FT Select Associate scheme for experienced and trusted IT contractors.

We focus on quality of service and only present CVs to clients following an in-depth interview process. We can provide technical testing or administer a technical test either face to face, via Skype Video or over the telephone. We are also working with Experian and administer Credit and Criminal checks for contractors, conduct technical tests, and reference all contractors as part of our service.

 

What we need:

We are interested in recruiting intelligent, goal orientated individuals with strong interpersonal skills who are looking for a challenging and rewarding career in this constantly changing competitive sector. Previous recruitment consultancy experience or industry (IT sector) experience is required. You will be a “people person”, genuinely interested in meeting people and someone who enjoys communication both via the telephone and face to face.  You will be a “self -starter”, motivated to build sound commercial relationships and to enjoy the financial rewards which would come as a result.             

Core responsibilities/comp:

  • Search and selecting high calibre suitable candidates for job briefs in the agreed timelines.
  • Business Development
  • Arranging and conducting candidate interviews: Telephone, Skype and in person to an agreed target level.
  • Profiling and completing skills matrices for candidates/contractors
  • Arranging/co-ordinating candidate/contractor interviews with clients.
  • Recording and keeping our Database/CRM system updated with all activity.
  • Keeping abreast of new developments and news in the IT sector.
  • Represent the business in a professional manner at all times.
  • Attend client meetings.

Base location: Home based with travel to interviews, client and internal meetings.

Remuneration:

There will be a monthly consultancy fee based on your proven track record and relevant business contacts. In addition, commission will be billable at 25% on all revenue over and above 3 x your monthly consultancy fee which will be payable every four months. A full explanation will be provided at interview. The aim of our remuneration model is to highly geared towards output and not time spent, making it the ideal role for a natural sales person who backs their ability to deliver and wants to build a lucrative career on terms that enable them to be a present and active mother.
