Reporting & Controls Analyst - (Part-Time, Job-Share and Full-Time)  

Location:  Flexible (must be within a commutable distance of the Whiteley office)

The opportunity:   

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Finance Operations Projects team as a Reporting & Controls Analyst. You will be working to achieve project and operational objectives and ensuring delivery of high quality and cost-effective service to our business and customers.

This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Working on assigned projects and developing subject matter expertise to focus on resolving outstanding balance sheet transactions which will include cash and claims system entries
  • Technical oversight and review
  • Contribute to the control environment for Reporting and Controls in accordance with the Zurich Basics, ensuring processes are compliant with the overall control environment and where they are not highlight to the Project Manager
  • Support the audit (internal and external) process for Fin Ops
  • Identify areas of improvement and mitigate possible risk of errors due to inefficient processes and ineffective systems
  • Collaborate to achieve targets and ultimately project/operational goals to agreed timetable
  • Support the operational teams with feedback from work activities
  • Your skills and experience: 

  • Solid experience in an accounting and/or supervisory role
  • Previous experience in Financial Services organisation
  • Knowledge of financial services legislation, regulation and accounting policies
  • Excellent level of numeric ability to understand, evaluate and interpret data
  • Market, financial risk and business awareness
  • Knowledge of products and services
  • Knowledge of Zurich’s financial systems and business platforms would be an advantage, including SAP FS-CD / FI-CO and Cogen Claims system
  • Excellent team player
  • Takes responsibility and accountability for their tasks and actions
