 About the Role

 

This Resource Officer role will support the newly created Audit resourcing operations team. The new team will deliver agreed resourcing activities, focused on operational excellence and x-BU activities to support the Audit resourcing teams.

Who we are looking for 

 

This role requires an  individual who is confident in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders whilst managing complex issues and changing situations.  This role would report to the Resourcing (Operations team) Manager with the primary aim to improve quality, deliver outstanding value to our clients, and create a better experience for our people. 

The key responsibilities for this role include (non exhaustive):

  • Build and develop strong and effective relationships with the Audit Resourcing teams working across the UK, this will likely include initial alignment to a Business Unit 

  • Provide responsive and professional administrative support to the Audit Resourcing team.

  • Support defined resourcing activities including providing administrative support across a range of processes, using our scheduling system Talentlink

  • Performing regular data integrity checks/data cleansing in Talentlink to deliver sustainable, high quality information working with the team leading MI

  • Update and maintain key systems with business critical data to support the management of headcount budgets and forecasts on a regular basis.

  • Using existing and emerging technologies to process a range of RM related data to ensure that critical business activities are cascaded and/or completed in a timely manner, identifying opportunities to further enhance and/or automate existing processes

  • Early identification and action to address issues that may adversely impact on delivery, using appropriate escalation protocols, where necessary.

  • Provide coordinated updates on central team activities to the Audit resourcing teams

  • Support the collection of manual data required for the Line of Service demand optimisation process (known as Juggler)

  • Support the build and manage the production of regular, standardised Management Information (MI) to provide insight and trends to business stakeholders and the Resourcing teams 

  • Working closely with other IFS teams (e.g. PQ/ L+D/ Recruitment/ Finance) and the central Resourcing Hub Team around joint areas of work.

  • Providing support around escalation processes regarding agility between BUs and x-los.

  • Potentially supplementing frontline resourcing teams during periods of high demand/ where cover is required

  • Share knowledge and best practice across the team, and with the wider Audit resourcing team, remaining flexible to provide fluctuating levels of support to different BUs as required

 

Requirements

  • An ability to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders building effective relationships

  • Able to deliver business outcomes in a fast paced and changing environment, to manage conflicting deadlines and shifting priorities

  • Understand, analyse and interpret information to support decision making

  • Ensure quality is at the heart of all tasks 

  • Use technology and established tools effectively, be open minded to change and emerging technologie and be fluent in building data and dashboard tools - e.g. Alteryx and Tableau.

Technical Expertise

Deployment and Manpower Planning

  • Understanding or experience of using manpower planning tools such as Talentlink 

  • Be able to analyse and interpret data

  • Build relationships – across a wide range of individuals

  • Consult and enquire with stakeholders to understand their needs and wants.

  • Respond with empathy and understanding to enhance relationships

  • Take an active role in resource management projects and initiatives

  • Understand the resource management firm-wide strategy, and the audit resourcing strategy and work to support these

  • Be open to change and proactively suggest process improvement enhancements

  • Build relationships with stakeholders to become a trusted advisor 

  • Actively manage expectations and escalate where necessary

 

Commercial Acumen and Financial Management

  • Understand how resourcing decisions have financial implications on the business

  • Understand how resourcing data impacts management reporting

  • Actively seek and identify opportunities for development

  • Give and receive constructive feedback to improve performance

  • Able to develop a personal network outside of the immediate team
