Sales Manager, Risk Engineering (Part-Time, Job-Share and Full-Time)

Location: Homebased - with UK wide travel

The opportunity:

As part of our vibrant and experienced UK Risk Engineering organisation we have created two opportunities for successful candidates to join a newly established team and play a key role in the front-line sales, development and distribution of our Risk Engineering services. Reporting directly into the Head of Sales you will grow income directly from our current customer base by researching, prospecting and winning new customers, as well as identifying and helping to convert pipeline opportunities through the broader organisation. You will contribute to the development of new propositions and deliver on local revenue targets.

This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren't available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue opportunities across the Zurich Risk Engineering function by working closely with team members and through broader colleague engagement.
  • Deliver new sales growth against targets through gaining and building profitable relationships with existing and new customers for Zurich
  • Promote the company's products and services by understanding, predicting and addressing clients' risk management objectives
  • Seek out opportunities to develop and sell partner service propositions through various distribution channels
  • Collaborate within a team of sales representatives to support local business income targets
  • Support colleagues throughout the Zurich UK business to build and monitor target sales pipelines and convert leads
  • Model behaviours that demonstrate commitment to our corporate values and be an external ambassador for the Zurich brand
  • Manage your own personal development, lead by example and encourage others to do the same
  • Your skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience of building deep and long-term relationships at all levels within large corporate organisations.
  • First-hand knowledge of Risk Control and Risk Management services as a supplier, broker, customer or other provider.
  • Excellent working knowledge of London and/or Regional broker markets and their operations.
  • A clear understanding of customer segmentation, and the requirements in dealing with customers in these differing groups
  • Risk Management Degree - desirable
  • ACII, FCII, AIRM, or FIRM qualification essential
  • Proven track record in delivering large corporate negotiations and agreements.
  • Understanding of Risk Engineering, Insurance Service model and proposition development
