This role is responsible for managing the Bookkeeping and Payroll processes for clients throughout the firm.

The director has clear growth plans and vision, providing a supportive environment and has a loyal, long serving team. The firm has embraced online accounting moving clients onto Xero, Quickbooks and whilst experience with this will be ideal.

Description

Joining as Senior Bookkeeper you will take responsibility for the delivery of bookkeeping services, up to extended trial balance, preparation of VAT returns, managing the end-to-end payroll for a number of the firm's clients and involvement with wider services, dependent on the background and experience of the right professional. You will work on varied clients mixed in industry range and turnover. Clients are primarily limited company, OMBs, SMEs. Alongside this they act for a significant number of smaller sole traders, start-ups and larger clients are into the £millions in turnover. You will carve a key, support role here to directors/partners with increasing responsibility, client contact and development on offer with the role and firm.

Profile

You may be an AAT qualified technician, or you may have developed your career through experience to date only and be looking to build further on this, in a hands on role. Most importantly, as a key requirement to be considered for this role and firm, you will have developed experience across any of bookkeeping, preparing vat returns, CIS, payroll etc within an accountancy practice firm of any size, as a Senior Bookkeeper. You will have at least three years or ideally more experience, developed across any of these areas, within an accounting firm / accountancy practice environment, as a key requirement.
