With over 1,000 professionals in the UK, our Human Capital practice is renowned for providing distinctive depth and breadth of HR and organisation transformation services to clients undertaking complex major programmes. Human Capital includes four Service Areas focused on HR Transformation and Applications, a Workforce Transformation team, an Actuarial and Pensions practice and a Service Area focused specifically on helping our clients identify, manage and solve the people issues that accompany major transformation and/or cause businesses to perform below their potential. 

Called Organisation Transformation (OT), our practice brings together specialist expertise in project and programme leadership, change management and cultural change, organisational design, digital enablement & capital programme delivery. We deploy these capabilities individually or, more commonly, in a blend as part of supporting major transformation programmes.

Your role

The Change team within Human Capital’s Organisation Transformation practice works with clients to deliver the people, behavioural and culture change associated with technology and digital-enabled business transformation.

We provide our clients with the advice and delivery support that they need throughout the entire cycle of their transformation programmes. Whether it is assessing, planning, supporting, managing, or delivering business change solutions, we need the very best people to join us and strengthen our team even further.

As a Senior Consultant in our Change team, you will support and lead elements of the planning, scoping and delivery of transformation projects across the private sector working in multi-disciplinary teams. This includes: developing change strategies, stakeholder engagement and management, communications, change impact analysis, business readiness and deployment planning, and training needs assessment, development and delivery.

As a Senior Consultant you will have responsibility for:

  • Helping clients solve complex issues by performing analysis, providing recommendations and utilising a combination of experience, industry knowledge, tools, and technology

  • Developing work plans for components of client engagements and leading the delivery of defined project objectives

  • Managing one or multiple workstreams in client projects, coaching junior team members and producing high quality deliverables

  • Working with a range of stakeholders, and being seen as a subject matter expert within client organisations and by colleagues

  • Supporting business development by contributing to new business proposals and presentations and taking role in industry and accounts

  • Contributing to internal practice development by participating in proposition, methodology and point of view development activities and supporting knowledge capture and sharing

Location:
The base location is Belfast. The role will involve travel, working in different areas of the UK and potentially overseas as it is a client facing role.

Work pattern:
This is a permanent contract opportunity. The role can be worked on a part-time basis, with a minimum of four days (80% presence) a week so please tell us what arrangement works for you and we’ll try to accommodate.

Your professional experience

  • Planning and delivering end-to-end business change for a variety of business change programmes including M&A, technology-enabled business and functional transformation, regulatory change and cost reduction programmes covering:
  • Stakeholder engagement - building credibility with operational teams

  • Assessing the people impacts of transformational change including process, technology and organisation structure 

  • Communication planning and delivery

  • Cultural and behavioural change

  • Design thinking concepts e.g. personas, user journeys and user stories

  • End user training needs analysis, training development and delivery

  • User on-boarding and adoption planning and support

  • Capability building in the client team

  • Organisation structure transition management 

  • Measuring the success of change programmes through the use of analytics 

  • Supporting transformation of the overall business, processes and functions including HR, finance, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing and IT

  • Delivering change management in waterfall, agile and hybrid agile programmes

  • Experience working on two or more Behavioural Change projects and / or working across two or more technologies e.g. Workday, Oracle, SAP (ECC, S/4HANA on-premise, private or public cloud, SAP Leonardo and SAP cloud applications (e.g. Ariba, IBP), Success Factors, Microsoft Suite, Robotics and AI, Internet of Things (IoT), Advanced Analytics as well as bespoke digital applications in a consulting organisation, or in an internal consultant role

  • Experience and knowledge of working in the Private Sector

  • Experience of managing client relationships, including previous consulting experience, strong leadership and management skills

  • Strong analytical and project management skills

  • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity

  • Fluency in PowerPoint and Excel

  • Ability to look at the bigger picture as well as have a keen eye for detail

  • Ability to balance logic and analytical thinking with empathy

  • Ability to handle multiple, conflicting deadlines without letting the quality of work suffer

  • Curiosity to learn about new businesses
