Are you our next Senior Digital Designer? We’re looking for someone to join our Tech - Product team, to help play a key role in helping to craft innovative experiences that serve our customer needs, problems and opportunities across our digital products. What you'll be doing:

 

As our Senior Digital Designer you’ll be working with closely with our Product Managers and Product Insight teams to improve our customer journeys across all of our digital products. You will be conceptualising new ideas as well as progressively iterating existing interfaces, to ensure maximum usability and delight, backed up by research and data insight.

Above all of that though, you’ll be part of our culture – the most important aspect of any role within the Gymshark family. Complacency is the enemy, we work hard, we stay humble and we challenge the norm. 

  • Working within the AGILE SCRUM framework to ensure the smooth handover of the deliverables.

  • Taking broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our users.

  • Designing flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant.

  • Owning the end-to-end design (interaction, visual, etc.) across multiple features and projects.

  • Presenting designs, prototypes and concepts to cross functional partners and stakeholders.

  • Giving and taking feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality.

  • Partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers and Analysts to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch.

  • Providing guidance to engineers and ensure features launch at the highest quality.

  • Continuously working on our design processes, ensuring that our team adhere to the relevant processes and guidelines.

  • Utilising design sprints in order to effectively prioritise and tackle projects.

  • Working with the Product Insight team to use data to inform and drive all design decisions.

  • Working with the Product Managers identifying optimisations and improvements to our UX/UI.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional leadership to build healthy and effective working relationships, to increase collaboration and productivity.

  • Helping to mentor less experienced designers on the team.

  • Working within the wider product team to ensure a consistent brand look/feel on customer journeys.

What you'll need:

  • Extensive experience as a product designer

  • Past experience working as a product designer with a proven record of shipping visually stunning high impact work.

  • Solid understanding of typography and fundamental design principles.

  • Solid understanding of visual flow, intuitive design and information architecture.

  • Experience in designing visual elements to influence user behaviour and interactivity.

  • To be confident in effectively communicating design ideas and solutions to team members.

  • Expert in using our UI & prototyping design tools of choice - Figma & Principle

  • Adobe Creative Suite expertise - After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator

  • Excellent communication and motivation skills. 

  • Experience in describing and documenting your design process and decisions.

  • To be skilled at receiving and giving constructive feedback to produce the best possible work.

  • Passion about design systems and well-versed in data-informed product design and development.

  • To have a people-focused design mentality. You enjoy solving problems, big and small, glamorous and not, for all kinds of users. You are constantly looking to hone your executions through user feedback. Whether through hands-on user research, or by designing options for an A/B test.

  • To be an expert in your craft, but you recognise the importance of setting aside the time and space to learn and grow.

  • To be a fantastic team player, communicator and facilitator. You have the communication skills and people-focused design mentality to help set up frameworks and brainstorm initial design concepts. 

  • The ability to mentor others to deliver incredible work and make strategy come to life.

  • An online portfolio, or PDF that you can share with us.

  • Hands-on experience working on digital products. We’re looking for people who have recognised opportunities and customer needs - and turned them into experiences that have delighted real users

  • An entrepreneurial mindset and to be be excited by data and the power it has in modern businesses.

When normal office working resumes, our expectation would require candidates to attend to travel to GSHQ, Solihull, UK occasionally.
