The Helios Finance function is fully integrated within the Aviation Business Unit of our parent company, the Egis Group. The role will be based in our small friendly offices in Farnborough (subject to current circumstances).

Who are we looking for: We’re looking for a professionally qualified candidate with several years experience in a financial or professional services environment. SME experience is vital and working within a Group structure would also be very beneficial. Payroll and pension administration as well as SAGE experience are all essential. The candidate will need to have overseas and UK tax expertise and French language skills would be a benefit (but not essential). The successful applicant will be responsible for line managing and mentoring two other members of the Finance team. You will be expected to become both a gatekeepers and expert in utilising the Egis Group financial tools and to ensure the support and training of Project Directors and Project Managers within Helios.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the cash flow management and accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, staff pay and benefits, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

The role will report into the Helios Chief Executive Officer, Aviation Business Unit Finance Director & the Director of Corporate Services with a key responsibility to provide timely, accurate and meaningful information to the senior management team in order for evidence based informed commercial decisions to be made. We are a fully integrated part of the Egis Group (in the Aviation BU) and so a key aspect of this role is the ability and willingness to become a fully integrated member of the Aviation BU Finance team as well as ensuring  compliance with the reporting requirements of our parent company on a regular basis.  This means that the team need to commit to full cover in the last two weeks of March, June, September and December each year.
