Senior Homelessness Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Housing Options to be part of a team that provides high quality, customer focused advice and assistance to vulnerable families and single people in Derby who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.  We are recruiting to the job share post of Senior Homelessness Officer (Families and Domestic Abuse) which is part of the team responsible for the line management of Homelessness Advisors, providing a demanding but rewarding front line service.

Your management skills will include the ability to manage performance, provide direction and set clear targets and standards.

You will need to demonstrate excellent inter-departmental and partnership working and will need to be a positive representative at multi-agency meetings.

You will need experience of working with vulnerable customer groups and an understanding of the support available to homeless people.  Above all, you will have empathy with these customers along with a passion and determination to go the extra mile.
