Senior Legal Counsel: Employment and Partnership
We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer or Barrister to join us and provide in-house legal advice across the DWF Group.
You will provide in house legal advice on a range of employment and partnership related matters across the DWF Group plc business. This is a diverse role with a remit covering both contentious and non-contentious matters, including handling UK Employment Tribunal claims, advising on and drafting employment related contracts and settlement agreements and advising on TUPE and a wide range of partnership issues. The appointee will be able to contribute high level advice at a strategic level in relation to employee and partnership issues and be capable of commanding the confidence of senior role holders in a FTSE Small Cap listed company, while also being able to relate to employees of all levels on day to day employment/partnership issues.
There is the possibility of combining the 3 day Part Time Group Legal role with a 2 day per week Commercial Employment senior fee earning role to become a full time appointment. If a candidate wishes this option to be explored, a following, while not essential, would be an advantage.
Other key requirements:
- An 8 years+ PQE Solicitor ideally from a leading employment practice or in house team.
- Experience in both contentious and non-contentious work, across the 'employment mix'.
- The ability to provide strategic, technical support at senior/partner level
- A confident yet personable and collaborative approach
- Strong commercial focus with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
